Go to your league's ranking page and sort the wide receivers by average production per game. It's probably not a shock to see two Patriots in the top six, but did you realize that there were three Giants receivers in the top 15? Steve Smith has obviously caught our attention, and Mario Manningham has caught TDs in back-to-back weeks to remain fantasy relevant. Coming up in a blaze of points is Hakeem Nicks, who has scored over 10 points in each of his last three contests by catching long touchdown after long touchdown -- in fact, he only had one catch in Week 4 and took it 54 yards for a score for an 11.4-point game. • Fellas that I don't foresee playing in this week's action (and therefore unranked in this column) include Anquan Boldin, Jerricho Cotchery and Antonio Bryant. OK, Bryant might play, but you won't be able to tell by his line.
• It's time to face facts: Donald Driver is the clear No. 1 target for Aaron Rodgers right now. I'm as shocked as you are, Greg Jennings owners. Jennings was a beacon of consistency over the last two seasons, throwing up a WR1 game virtually every time he stepped onto the field. That kind of skill doesn't just disappear, so I remain adamant that Jennings is a great add for your team at a low price.
• How 'bout that Sidney Rice guy? Great size, wonderful hands -- this is the player we thought the Vikings were getting when they selected Rice in the second round a few years back. I've been very patient with Rice in my dynasty league, and it's good to see patience rewarded. As long as Brett Favre is under center, Rice is an every-week starter.
• With Ryan Fitzpatrick drawing the start, you can forget about Terrell Owens and Lee Evans this week. There are some No. 3 WRs that I'd rather start over the Buffalo pair in Week 7, particularly Jerheme Urban, who would move into the No. 3 role should Anquan Boldin need to sit out.
• Besides Urban, the sneaky play of the week goes to James Jones, who has seen his role in Green Bay elevated to that of a No. 3 receiver. I also kind of like Michael Crabtree in his first professional game -- you have to believe coach Mike Singletary will have the freshman wideout fired up, and the newly-signed Crabtree will be looking to make a great first impression.
