We all knew Owen Daniels had the potential to be a top-tier fantasy tight end. He was coming off a solid season a year ago, had a very good offense surrounding him and saw plenty of looks. However, something has changed this season. Daniels is on a tear and he's on pace to shatter his previous career highs in catches, yards, and more importantly, touchdowns. And as fantasy owners we love to hear that he's cashing in by scoring. So, welcome to the elite Owen ... we've been waiting for you for some time. This weekend Daniels draws the 49ers and should continue his ascension to greatness. As for the usual suspects? Well, Dallas Clark is back in action against a horrible Rams defense, Antonio Gates draws the Chiefs, Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten square off in tight end showcase as the Cowboys host the Falcons. In short, this is shaping up to be a good weekend if you own one of the top-flight fantasy tight end options.

• Moving up the board and a solid play this weekend has to be Sean Ryan. For those who are shaking their heads asking who Sean Ryan is, he's the tight end on the Chiefs, but more importantly he's the tight end who gets to face the Chargers. As we should all know by now, opposing tight ends simply abuse the Chargers. I can't believe we still need reminding.
• Look, I've always been a Zach Miller believer, but got off the hype based on the horrible situation he was put in. And I'm not ready to be fooled into thinking that last weekend solved all the Raiders' issues. Proceed with caution against an angry Jets team.
• Can you really trust Kellen Winslow as a top-tier tight end again? He seems to be far too inconsistent for my blood. And this week is a tough matchup against a Pats defense that is coming to life. I suggest finding a better option.
• Until Visanthe Shiancoe slows down, you have to play him despite the matchup. He may not rack up yardage, but he's on a scoring streak and Brett Favre just loves looking for him in the red zone.
• It's probably not much of a sleeper call, but I do like Ben Watson as a sneaky play against the Bucs this weekend.
