Damage Control: Peyton Manning Knee Injury Not Serious

Peyton ManningDid the injury bug hit your fantasy football team like it was a car windshield moving at 100 MPH? If so, it may be time to do some Damage Control.

Quarterback

Michael Vick, Eagles - Vick took a hard hit to the ribs and had X-rays. The results came back negative.

Peyton Manning, Colts - Manning has a sore knee after Sunday's win. The injury isn't serious, which is good news. Better news comes as the Colts now enter a bye week.

Carson Palmer, Bengals - Palmer injured his left (non-throwing hand) thumb on Sunday. the Bengals don't seem too worried about the injury.

Running Back

Glen Coffee, 49ers - Coffee left Sunday's game with a lower leg injury. It was later revealed to be just a contusion.

Wide Receiver

Calvin Johnson, Lions - Johnson hurt his right knee in the first half on Sunday against the Steelers and could not return. Coach Jim Schwartz said that the injury isn't considered significant.

Tight End

• Ben Watson, Patriots - Watson left Sunday's game with a head injury. Detailed information was not shared by the Patriots.

Offensive Line

Branden Albert, Chiefs - Albert left the game early on Sunday with an ankle injury. The team did not update his status. This would be a crushing blow to the Kansas City rushing attack (and I use that term lightly) .

Matt Light, Patriots - Light was forced from the game on Sunday with a right knee injury. He was unable to put any weight on his leg in the locker room.

Individual Defensive Players

Kawika Mitchell, Bills - Mitchell suffered a season-ending knee injury on Sunday. He should be cut in all IDP leagues.

Asante Samuel, Eagles - Samuel left Sunday's game but won't need tests to determine the extent of his calf injury. The defensive back seems fine.

Nick Harper, Titans - Harper broke his forearm in Sunday night's game and will miss four to six weeks.

Michael Lewis, 49ers - Lewis left the game Sunday with a concussion. There has been no word as to a time frame for Lewis' return.
