Every Tuesday night, we'll give you an update on our FanHouse fantasy football league. Who hit on their sleepers? Who made the shrewd pickups? Who's practicing what they preach? In 'House Check, you'll find out.In our highly competitive FanHouse league, which is comprised of three four-team divisions, we've exhibited how hard it is to beat up on each other. After three weeks of division play, every team stands at either 2-1 or 1-2. So after three weeks, we're proven nothing, except that no one is going to run away with the FanHouse title.
This week starts the first round of inter-divisional matchups, with my team taking on Will Brinson's team. Now without Laurent Robinson, and with Wes Welker and Lance Moore doing more cheerleading than competing, I'm going to have to hit the waiver wire hard yet again to try and find a way to improve to 3-1.
Week 3 Action
The big score of the week goes to the aforementioned Mr. Brinson, who rode a 32.7-point performance by Maurice Jones-Drew to a close victory over the second-leading scorer of the week, Chris Burke. Sorry Chris, but there's no prize for coming in second this week. Other action this week included Fleaflicker mastermind Ori Schwartz taking down the previously undefeated Knox Bardeen in a close one. If Jonathan Stewart could have gotten something going, Knox could have escaped the week as the league's only undefeated team -- now, he and Ori are tied for the first division lead. Also co-leading their respective divisions are myself and Ryan Dembinsky in the second division, and Tom Mantzouranis and Shane Bacon in the third division.

Waiver Wire Work
Most of the big-play WRs from Week 2 were snatched up in Week 3, with Mike Sims-Walker, Mario Manningham, Laurent Robinson and Johnny Knox being picked up from waivers at the beginning of the week. Pierre Garcon was also added (at the expense of Josh Morgan). My previous claim of Vernon Davis proved to be an astute move, as there's no way I'd get him off the waiver wire this week with my 10th (of 12) waiver priority. Another move that proved to be very good was Tom Herrera's release of the Chargers D to add the Broncos D; if the Denver defense is available in your league at this point, they shouldn't be.Looking ahead to this week's claims, I expect the big target for many teams to be Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Harrison. Expected to split carries with rookie James Davis, Harrison instead was the feature back and performed well (or better than Jamal Lewis has), scoring 8.5 points in our league. Other running backs that could and should be claimed include Lewis himself, Detroit fill-in Maurice Morris, and Kansas City No. 2 back Jamaal Charles. At WR, I expect someone to leap all over Andre Caldwell's nice two-week stretch. Caldwell is looking like the player we expected Chris Henry to be.
