Everyone loves fantasy football sleepers, but they change depending on league size and availability. We're here each and every week to give you a look at good plays for all types of leagues.I encouraged you last week to add some Buccaneers, and my main sleeper pick for the week, Byron Leftwich, came up big in his game against Buffalo. Leftwich threw for nearly 300 yards and three TDs, scoring 21.8 points in my Fleaflicker league. Cadillac Williams did most of his damage through the air, catching seven passes for 56 yards and a TD. I also gave you deep-leaguer Pierre Garcon, who caught a 48-yard TD in the Monday night game. The rest of the sleepers didn't come up big, but we'll try and do better right now.
Power Naps
LeSean McCoy, RB, PHI vs. KC
It's no secret that Brian Westbrook and the injury report are close, personal friends. He'll assuredly miss practice this week and show up on the injury report (my money's on "questionable," which is the heavy favorite). Enter "Shady" McCoy, the quick rookie running back that's been turning heads since training camp. With Kevin Kolb under center and Kansas City across the field, look for a heavy dose of the running game, and since Westbrook will be limited, look for McCoy to see at least half the carries. That could translate into 100-yard performance (he had 55 total yards on nine touches last Sunday).
Jake Delhomme, QB, CAR @ DAL
Delhomme kinda sorta looked like an NFL QB against the Falcons, didn't he? It's a big progression from what he looked like in Week 1 against the Eagles (and in the playoffs as well, for that matter). Now he gets to face the Cowboys on Monday night, a week after they allowed Steve Smith and Mario Manningham to catch 20 balls for nearly 200 yards and two TDs. Considering many people think the Carolina Smith is twice as talented as the Giant Smith, we could see him match that production himself! OK, not a chance, but the Dallas secondary should prove much easier than the Falcons secondary, which looked easy to Jake.
Mark Sanchez, QB, NYJ vs. TEN
The Golden Boy has arrived! When the Jets went into Houston and whipped the Texans, the team started generating a little excitement. After taking down the Patriots, the presumed division champs this year, Jets fans are flying high over the prospects of their season. A lot of credit has gone to this rookie QB, and he has played spectacular, but it won't last for the entire season. However, it should last at least one more week, as the Titans are letting opposing QBs do whatever they want. He should come through with the first multi-score game of his young career Sunday against Tennessee.
A Good Night's Sleep
Ricky Williams, RB, MIA @ SDA week after gaining 58 yards and catching a TD pass, Williams was fed the ball 19 times as the Dolphins completely dominated time-of-possession against the Colts (lot of good it did them) and while he didn't score in Week 2, his owners must be happy with his 20 fantasy points through two games. He faces San Diego, a team without nose tackle Jamal Williams and now Travis Johnson, so there should be plenty of rushing yards to go around. I'd expect a smaller dose of the wildcat formation, but still lots of work to go to Williams, and I definitely see him reaching the end zone on Sunday.
Tashard Choice, RB, DAL vs. CAR
While we're not positive whether Marion Barber will be able to play in the Monday night game this week, I wouldn't count on the team risking him, not with such a quality backup waiting in the wings. Felix Jones is going to see extended work, but since he's not a 20-carry-per-game kind of guy, Choice will also get plenty of touches in Week 3. With the passing game struggling and with the interior of the Carolina defensive line as a big weakness, Choice is primed to generate a lot of buzz on the national stage. If Barber is indeed out, Choice is a home run-type flex play this week.
Mario Manningham, WR, NYG at TB
OK, so he's not much of a "sleeper" after abusing Dallas on Sunday night, and he should find his way onto teams in a lot of leagues -- but I'm here to tell you that Manningham shouldn't be picked up in "a lot of" leagues, he should be picked up in all leagues. The second-year sensation out of Michigan has turned into the Giants' No. 1 threat at WR. He's a guy with sure hands that can make the first defender whiff on a lot of tackles. This leads to a ton of yards after the catch, and what better secondary to abuse right now than the Buccaneers? Manningham could repeat his crazy Sunday night line this week.
Lights Out
Seneca Wallace, QB, SEA vs. CHI
Sure, you guys and gals that play in normal-sized, one-QB leagues can just skip this recommendation, but to anyone in a position of need, you shouldn't hesitate to grab the fill-in Seahawk. He did quite well in relief duty the second half of last season. In fact, after his first start of the season, in which he was still shaking off the effects of his own injury and threw a pick, Wallace went six games without throwing an interception. Oh, and he threw eight TDs in those games. He followed that up with a two-TD, two-INT game in Week 17 against Atlanta. This guy isn't your average backup QB -- he's actually quite good.
Mike Sims-Walker, WR, JAC @ HOUInjuries to a couple Jaguar receivers have virtually guaranteed that Sims-Walker will be on the field for virtually all of the Jaguars' offensive snaps. This is a good thing, as he's shown chemistry with quarterback David Garrard, who connected with Sims-Walker for 106 yards and a TD last Sunday. Now he faces the Texans, a team that doesn't bother to account for all receivers on a play (seriously, you don't know where Chris Johnson is at all times?), and with the Jags likely to be in a keep-up mode, Sims-Walker should have plenty of chances to rack up fantasy points.
Shawn Nelson, TE, BUF vs. NO
The Bills placed starting tight end Derek Schouman on injured reserve, meaning the rookie Nelson will have to grow up in a hurry. He'll be counted on to play tight end most of the day, and with the Saints marching into town, Buffalo will have to throw a lot to keep up. This is good news for Nelson, who's an excellent receiving tight end and has already caught a TD this year (in Week 1 on a very athletic play). He's not going to enter TE1 status right away, but he makes an excellent TE2 this week and going forward. I have him on a taxi squad in a dynasty league and I sure am considering activating him already.
The 10th pick of the week goes to the Denver defense, a unit that didn't have many expectations this season but has done a superb job in its first two contests (although one was against a UFL team, the Cleveland Browns). Next up to the plate for the Broncos are the Raiders, a team with a quarterback that's liable to complete as many passes to the defense as he is to his own receivers. Make them your spot-start defense of the week.

I like Mario as much as the next Wolverines fan, but I think people have been way too hard on Steve Smith over there this season as well. I know everyone saw him drafted in their leagues, but the way I see it people have turned their noses at him in favor of anyone, and everyone else they have like Nicks, Hixon, and now Mario.
He is getting thrown to just as much, if not more than Manningham is thus far. With a 6/80 and a 10/134/1 through 2 games I wouldn't be so sure to call Mario the #1 option there. Especially with Nicks healing a bit. We KNOW Smith isn't going to lose time. Regardless, Mario catching 10 balls in a week pretty much makes him a major target too. Steve is just what you would call the "safer" bet in my opinion at least.
My SLEEPER is going to have to be Johnny Knox. Took over kick return duties for Manning in Chicago, and Cutler gave him a lot of looks last week. He caught 6 for 70 and a TD. With basically no sure thing at wide out there a chance at becoming their major catching WR and Hester Speed return guy he may blow up too.

Jimi -- you make a great point. I actually think Steve Smith will be the more consistent receiver week-to-week, so I agree with you there. I like Knox as well, Snyder raves about him. Sims-Walker wasn't picked up in a lot of leagues, but Jags definitely need him to be a dynamic threat in receiveing game.
