4th and 26: Late Adds for Deep Leagues

Need a last-minute fill-in for this week? 4th and 26 is here to throw you a couple deep sleepers, guys available in at least 90% of Fleaflicker leagues that could give your fantasy football team a big boost.

Whether you're an unlucky Pierre Thomas owner that was late to the free-agent pool for Mike Bell, or someone looking for a Kevin Walter replacement for the week, time is running short to find a player to plug into your lineup. If you're in a standard-sized league, you should have plenty of options -- just check out this week's Passed Out at Your Desk for some. But if you play in a deep league, the FA pool could already be barren. Read on to find a few guys that could have decent Sundays; odds are at least one is available to you.

Chris Brown, RB, Texans. Only three RBs remain in Houston: Steve Slaton, Ryan Moats, and Brown. With Slaton not built to handle a 20-carry workload per game, the Texans will look to reduce the pounding he takes this year. Enter Brown, who is expected to average at least eight carries per game. With coach Gary Kubiak anointing Brown the goal-line back, he has a great shot at vulturing a TD from Slaton.

Bernard Scott, RB, Bengals. We think of Cedric Benson as a solid RB3, mostly because he doesn't have a lot of competition for carries, but that may not be entirely true. Scott flashed tons of potential in the preseason, and as long as he keeps out of trouble, he could start siphoning touches from Benson. It's entirely possible he could break a couple long runs against Denver's poor defense.

Malcolm Kelly, WR, Redskins. The No. 2 wide receiver in Washington, Kelly has taken a big step forward in his second season. Expect Washington to fall behind early, which would lead to an air-based attack as the Redskins try to keep up. If the Giants focus on stopping Santana Moss, Kelly should have room to work. Owners in deep leagues looking for more than just a one-week starter should consider adding him.

Deon Butler, WR, Seahawks. Another talented rookie already making waves, Butler should be the No. 3 WR, as Deion Branch's yearly injury binge has started early. Calling the Rams cornerback depth shallow would be polite,
and if Butler can get matched up one-on-one against nickelback Justin King, we could see some fireworks. It's a long shot, but as your WR4 or second flex player, he has a bit of upside.
