Fantasy Football Cut-N-Go: A Lot of Nothing Before Week 1

Cut-N-Go is Fantasy Football FanHouse's daily gathering of links from around the web, covering the goings-on in NFL Training Camp which have an impact on fantasy value.

It's the final week before the marbles get raised just a little. How about it's the week we all have at least one fantasy draft? Does that sound better? It's that dreaded "why do they play these games again" week. Most of us are more focused on who we're going to draft and who we're going to be rooting for in Week 1 than the final preseason game. Still though, it's always time to pay attention. Slight, but steady attention.

You already know the saga that is Brandon Marshall, but what else happened on this Thursday?

Other Camp Notes With Fantasy Spin:

• We got a good look at Michael Vick, who was coming fresh off the word from Roger Goodell that he could in fact compete in meaningful football in Week 3. OK, let's not all rush to the waiver wire now. Vick holds a little tiny ounce of value if you really stop and think about it, but that's about it. Email me when he starts dropping over 10 fantasy points per week. Thanks, that's enough of Vick.

• The Detroit QB situaton is hardly clearly defined after tonight's game. However, one could probably guess that it will be Daunte Culpepper in Week 1. Although, Matthew Stafford didn't look all too bad or too good in preseason. Worth noting from Thursday night is that Calvin Johnson had two grabs for 56 yards. I'm excited, I drafted him at No. 10 in two drafts.

• If you paid attention to the Jets/Eagles game you were probably captivated by some dude named Danny Woodhead. He certainly lit it up, but then again it is the 4th game of preseason. Sorry to burst your bubble.

The word on the street is that Chris Henry is a changed man. Should we finally expect big things from him? It's certainly a possibility -- mark him as a sleeper. When the time is right, make your move.

• Despite slipping a little on many a draft radar, it would still appear that Josh Morgan is primed for that "breakout" season.

Carson Palmer is ready to go for Week 1. Let's not all jump to draft Palmer, but if you do need a good backup QB he'd be a good place to start. He's got starter potential, but until we see it, why believe it?

• Yup, I saw BenJarvus Green-Ellis on Thursday night. Call me when I'm convinced of a Patriots RB.
