Cut-N-Go is Fantasy Football FanHouse's daily gathering of links from around the web, covering the goings-on in NFL Training Camp which have an impact on fantasy value.Whenever the NFL's active rushing leader signs with a new team, that must be the big fantasy news of the day. Seattle decided to further muddle its backfield by inking former Colt and Cardinal Edgerrin James. While it appears a deal hasn't been finalized yet, all indications are that James will soon be signed with the Seahawks.
As of Tuesday, Edge wasn't at practice with the Seahawks, according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer. Also missing from practice was T.J. Duckett, who hasn't been cut from the Seahawks yet but looks to be the odd man out in Seattle once James finalizes his contract.

Starting center Chris Spencer is out four-to-six weeks with a quadriceps tear, per The Seattle Times. With an inexperienced center lining up over the ball, that further hurts the value of the Seahawks' running game.
Incumbent Julius Jones and James will battle for carries through the rest of the preseason, but Edge probably has the edge. I wouldn't draft either as more than a fifth running back until the situation sorts itself out, and Jones suffers a precipitous drop with the news.
Other Fantasy Related Camp News:
• When I said the James signing was the biggest fantasy news of the day, that might have been inaccurate. According to the St. Petersburg Times, Bucs coach Raheem Morris revealed that Cadillac Williams will get the start in Tampa Bay's third preseason game. He also added that there will be a three-back rotation during the regular season. I like anybody running behind that offensive line, but it will be hard to figure out which Buccaneer to use each week if Morris sticks to this plan. Deep leagues can take a flier on Caddy, while Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham should be lowered on your cheat sheets.
• In other Buccaneer news, The Pewter Report confirms that Jermaine Phillips has moved back to safety full-time, at least for the duration of Tanard Jackson's four-game suspension. Geno Hayes moves into the starting lineup at linebacker.
• The Philadelphia Inquirer has news that Brian Westbrook and Trent Cole will play in Thursday night's preseason game. Westbrook is coming back ahead of schedule, so it appears that anyone drafting him in the second round could be getting a steal. The Inquirer also says that Michael Vick will likely play in the Eagles' version of the Wildcat exclusively on Thursday. I'm definitely tuning in for that game.• Our own Matt Snyder has a good take on the Browns' RB situation. James Davis has emerged as a major sleeper and could run away with the job if Lewis struggles.
• Also on FanHouse, JJ Cooper reports Nate Washington will miss the rest of the preseason, and possibly a portion of the regular season, with a hamstring injury. Washington was one of my favorite late-round WRs, but this news obviously knocks him off the draft board in all but the deepest of leagues.
• Dan Graziano writes that Shaun Hill has been named the starter in San Francisco. Hill has been a quality fantasy QB while on the field and makes for an excellent QB2 in your league. I'd definitely have him on my team over Brett Favre.

As a Seahawks fan I hope that Edge works out in Seattle, but I'm skeptical. Particularly with the inconsistencies in the running game since Hutch skipped town and the injuries to the offensive line (I wouldn't be surprised if Walter Jones ends up retiring at some point this season) I think it's going to be tough to really get the running game in a groove.
On the Fantasy Football Custom Player Rater that I run @ FantasyStatHead I don't have James rated at all right now, clearly he has value in deep league formats but I can't see paying more than a few dollars or throwing a late round draft pick at him.
As far as the other notes around the league, I agree on both James Davis and Shaun Hill. Davis may have the most upside of all Rookie Running Backs this year because of his situation. Hill happens to have the easiest Strength of Schedule of all QBs and he's done well when he plays. I'm looking at both for the right price or in the later rounds of my drafts.
