Cut-N-Go is Fantasy Football FanHouse's daily gathering of links from around the web, covering the goings-on in NFL Training Camp which have an impact on fantasy value. This is going to come as no surprise to anyone who follows Cleveland Browns football, but head coach Eric Mangini is no closer to selecting his starting quarterback today then when training camp opened approximately three weeks ago.
Both Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson have started one preseason game. Neither have been terribly impressive. Anderson has thrown for 130 yards on 8-out-of-15 attempts with two interceptions and zero touchdown throws. Quinn is 10-for-16 for 97 yards with one interception and zero touchdown passes. If you add their preseason quarterback ratings together you get 96.5, 43.1 for Anderson and 53.4 for Quinn.
According to Zac Jackson of ClevelandBrowns.com the only thing seperating Quinn and Anderson is four snaps. That's the difference in the number of snaps between the two quarterback hopefuls. Jackson also says that Mangini isn't tipping his hand as to which quarterback is close to winning the starting job, if any.
"In terms of timetable, to me it's about going through and making the right decision and not the quick decision."From a fantasy point of view, neither quarterback is a top-25 option. In out latest fantasy football rankings Fanhouse has Quinn ranked as the No. 27 quarterback and Anderson as the No. 36 option. Until a true winner of this quarterback controversy is selected, you'd be well advised to steer clear of both Browns options at quarterback. You may even want to pass on whichever play-caller wins the starting job. Neither has shown well in preseason games and their recent track records leave lots to be desired.

Other Camp Notes With Fantasy Spin:
• Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is doubtful for Thursday night's game against the St. Louis Rams with a sprained left ankle. He is, however, stated that's he's sure he'll be ready by week one of the regular season.
• Rams receiver Donnie Avery has been participating in individual drills and Bill Coats of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch seems to think that Avery will be ready very soon to return to action.
• Miles Austin has made appearances on a good number of sleeper receiver lists this off-season, but he's only been thrown to three times in the Cowboys two preseason games, catching not one pass. But, Tim MacMahon of the Dallas Morning-News says that Austin isn't worried about his lack of production thus far saying that Austin would, "rather do it in the season when it really counts and matters".
• Michael VIck has to appear in bankruptcy court Thursday morning in Newport News, Virginia hours prior to the Eagles preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaquars. Vick's timetable poses no problem for making back by game time, but the coaching staff has yet to announce whether Vick will play or not. According to the Associated Press, his teammates think he's ready.
• The 2007 No. 1 overall pick in the draft, JaMarcus Russell, has officially been named the starting quarterback, as previously mentioned on FanHouse by Matt Snyder. Russell has faced little competition for the starting role as Jeff Garcia has battled a calf injury. Russell has also enjoyed a 99.2 quarterback passer rating in 20 preseason attempts.
• For those of you targeting Dallas running backs Marion Barber and Felix Jones in fantasy drafts, Tim MacMahon of the Dallas Morning-News tells you that behind the first-team offensive line these two running backs averaged just 3.8 yards per carry in their two preseason games.
• The Bengals have signed rookie kicker Sam Swank, of Wake Forest. You can officially drop Chad Ochocinco from your sleeper kicker rankings sheet.

• Samkon Gado rushed for 93 yards in the Rams first preseason game scoring a touchdown and taking a huge step forward in the backup running back competition in St. Louis. But in his second game, Gado carried the ball 12 times against the Falcons for five yards. The three-way competition to back up Steven Jackson is still up in the air, says Bill Coats of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and Gado, the only one of the three competitors to reach the end zone this preseason, hopes to rebound from the Falcons game.
• Daniel Brown of the San Jose Mercury News says that 49'ers head coach Mike Singletary is not close to deciding which quarterback will be the starter. When asked to evaluate what he has seen in Alex Smith and Shuan Hill, Singletary said, "Nothing great." [Update 08/24/2009 8:18 PM ET] Shaun Hill has been named the week one starter on September 13th, according to Matt Maiocco of The Press Democrat through his twitter stream.
• Mike Triplett of The Times-Picayune says to watch out before you use a high draft pick on running back Pierre Thomas. The Saints backup Mike Bell could be ready to steal some carries from Thomas.
