Everybody is ranking Jones-Drew extremely high when he has yet to show that he deserves elite status. Sure he should put up some improved numbers without Fred Taylor there, but let's not forget that Greg Jones (I believe) IS still there, and he will get more carries now--especially at the goal line I would think. MJD is not worth ranking ahead of Fitzgerald, Tomlinson or even Steve Slaton to name a few. Additionally, Andre Johnson probably shouldn't yet be in the top ten until he proves he is capable of more than just one super-season. WR is deep enough this year that you don't need to reach for a potential bust in the 1st round. He is a great talent, but he will be double-teamed this year even more often than last year. If Matt Schaub goes down, that will hurt Andre even more.

FYI -- Andre Johnson's numbers without Schaub:
Week 5: 9 catches, 131 yards, 1 TD
Week 10: 7 catches, 66 yards
Week 11: 10 catches, 116 yards
Week 12: 7 catches, 75 yards, 1 TD
Week 13: 4 catches, 55 yards, 1 TD
If you prorated those averages over the course of a full season: 118 catches, 1,418 yards, 10 TDs.
As far as MJD ... I tend to agree, but these are staff rankings and several of my colleagues are really high on him. They made their case in our roundtable here:

One more thing--how on earth do you guys come up with Steven Jackson at #6 when he disappoints fantasy owners year in and year out!! What are you doing? Playing the Rams O-line on the come???

And I cover Steven Jackson pretty thoroughly in the Rams preview, which is set to run 8/1.
Keep in mind, though, he averaged the third most points per game for running backs last season (after Williams and Turner), and that's including a game where he suited up and didn't even play. When he's on the field and healthy, he's a stud. Obviously, the health is an issue, but I'm confident with a full camp this year (remember, he held out last season) he'll be fine.

I'm glad d-will keeps getting ranked high in all the mock drafts for my sake but would you please put down the koolade.
I can't remember the last time a guy was so overhyped in FF. Yes he had a monsterous season last year most likely his career year but hes not even worth a 3rd rnd pick on my board.
Several reasons for this.
A. he's injury prone
B. his backup/replacement is a better rb
C. it's a running back by commitee approach, isn't this what all fantasy owners want to avoid?
D. you cant expect him to match last years numbers based on A. B and C.
Last year he was a steal because no one drafted him in the top 3 rnds and this year he is being listed as the 5th best player?
Lets do our homework please. If you want to count on him for your fantasy playoffs (which you better with your 1st 2 picks in a draft) you have to hope that he matches or come close to his stats from the final four games of last season. Thats a tough feat
week 14 this year @ New England..08 Tampa Bay
week 15 this year Minnesota...08 Denver
week 16 this year @ Giants..08 Ginats
week 17 this year Saints...last year Saints
If he's healthy I wouldn't want to take a chance on him Vs the patriots at home certainly not the Vikings stingy run defense, and not in the rowdy Meadowlands in December. He scored 4 tds last year against the Giants, something that you cant expect this year. If your team is still alive week 17 you may have a good matchup.
All this being said its hard to take a guy 5th overall that splits time and in 09 D-will will most likely be the talk of your league..for all the wrong reasons. Best bet is to let someone else take him to early and grab jon stewart in the 5th and have the better back.
